Grey Wolf Criteria and Process

Advice as at March 2020 – in transition from “old system” to “new youth program”. Updated email advice July 2020

Whilst Social Distancing applies Рcheck the post Peak Awards during COVID-19 period

o   Grey Wolf age range

  • A youth member can attain the peak award in their section if they fulfil all criteria
  • And are aged within the age criteria for their section ‚Äď currently from age 8 until they turn 12
  • And are a current member of that section ‚Äď ie they have not ‚ÄúGone Up‚ÄĚ to Scouts.

o¬† ¬†“Old Program” applicants -

  • Fill out Grey Wolf Application from¬†Scouts NSW Website / State Forms ‚Äď form F6 -¬†
  • Commencement Form no longer in use, not required
  • Pack Council/Unit Council to approve the application for award ‚Ästenter the name of one or two members of the Unit Council that considered and approved the award
  • Form to be typed into, they will not accept handwritten
  • Email to¬†address on the form – – please cc Region Commissioner Cub Scouts
  • Once approved the cub will receive an email ‚Äď using email address on Scoutlink, make sure it is current
  • I believe the Cub Leader will also receive an email
  • Cub Leader¬†will receive certificate/badge/woggle ready for presentation – Cub Leader and Cub to work out details of presentation.
  • Grey Wolf Woggle will be phased out – when the current supply runs out there will be¬† no more woggles. They have been a special thing NSW has been presenting, not standard across the National Award Scheme.
